Join us at the 2008 Climate Leadership Summit if you are a college or university president or chancellor. If the college or university president or chancellor cannot attend, they are welcome to send one senior-level delegate, such as a VP or Provost.
The Summit will be a venue to exchange ideas and learn how higher education is leading the way to climate neutrality. Sessions will specifically address how to:
- create a better campus by reducing the carbon footprint of existing buildings
- address carbon offsets in climate action plans
- incorporate sustainability into curriculum to educate teachers and students
- work with your local community to accelerate action toward greenhouse gas reduction
We encourage spouses to join us in Grand Rapids to experience all that the city has to offer. Spouses are invited to the cocktail reception on Thursday, June 5, at the Grand Rapids Art Museum, followed by dinner. We also encourage your spouse to explore the city of Grand Rapids on a Summit-sponsored tour of the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park and through the variety of other Grand Rapid unique sites and activities.
