Pre-Conference Workshop:
Solutions Module Boot-Camp: Using the Campus Carbon Calculator™ for your Climate Action Planning

April 9, 2010 | River Falls, WI | 8:00 am – 12:30 pm
Hosted by the American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment and Clean Air-Cool Planet

The American College and University Presidents’ Climate Commitment and Clean Air-Cool Planet (CA-CP) present this half-day workshop on how to effectively compare climate mitigation projects, their carbon reductions and financial returns. The climate action planning process can quickly become overwhelming, but the new Solutions Module of CA-CP’s Campus Carbon Calculator™ can help you evaluate the potential carbon reduction efficacy of different initiatives and construct scenarios for meeting possible targets and timetables given your funding and institutional constraints. If you are trying to figure out how to get started evaluating specific mitigation strategies, or are curious about how other schools have developed their reduction numbers and set their targets, this workshop is for you.

Audience: Space is limited to 30 attendees. This workshop is for colleges and universities that have completed their greenhouse gas inventory but have not yet completed their climate action plan. Attendees should have already completed a greenhouse gas inventory using the Campus Carbon Calculator, which would also ensure all attendees are familiar with Excel.
