Reporting

Signatories to the American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment commit to eliminate their contribution to global warming over time, including:

  • establishing an institutional structure to oversee the development and implementation of the schools’ program to comply with the ACUPCC;

  • completing an emissions inventory within one year;establishing a climate action plan that includes a target date and interim milestones for becoming climate neutral within two years;

  • taking immediate steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by choosing at least two from a list of seven tangible actions;

  • integrating sustainability into the curriculum and making it a part of the educational experience; and

  • making their inventory, climate action plan, and progress reports publicly available here.

Two Month Progress Reports:
View all of the Two Month Reports filed by signatory campuses. The Two Month Reports cover the creation of institutional implementation structure and the choice of short-term tangible actions.

GHG Inventory Reports:
The ACUPCC will soon have a standardized format and online reporting mechanism to gather GHG emissions data. In the meantime, we would like to highlight the progress made by signatories who have already completed their GHG inventories. If your institution has already completed a GHG Inventory and/or your Climate Action Plan, please let us know by contacting Niles Barnes at niles@aashe.org.
