The Leadership Factor: Implementing Sustainability in Higher Education (Archived)
August 4, 2010. ACUPCC signatory presidents and chancellors play a critical role in focusing all of the campus - from academic to operational units - to implement a visionary and comprehensive Climate Action Plan which will affect every aspect of their institutions for the foreseeable future. A hallmark of the ACUPCC is the network it fosters, allowing presidents and other leaders to learn from each other, share ideas and find ways to help each other in this unprecedented effort. This webinar is designed to facilitate dialogue between and among presidents and other leaders on the challenges they face, the role of leadership and the successful strategies that have been used to create a culture for sustainability on their campus in order to fulfill the commitment.
Dr. Anthony Cortese, President of Second Nature, facilitates a dialogue with experts in the field of higher education and sustainability:
Dr. Glenn Cummings, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Office of Vocational and Adult Education at the US Department of Education
Dr. Kathleen Schatzberg, President of Cape Cod Community College
